摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner wherein granularity and roughness are reduced from a low density region to a high density region, a fixing temperature range is widened even when much toner is put on a recording member, an excellent image is ensured even after continuous copying, and anti-offset properties are excellent, and also to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, a lightness L* in the powder state is 45-75, and with respect to viscoelastic properties, a storage modulus at 120°C (G'<SB>120</SB>) is 5×10<SP>2</SP>-1×10<SP>5</SP>[Pa] and a storage modulus at 180°C (G'<SB>180</SB>) is 10-5×10<SP>3</SP>[Pa]. A deformation (R<SB>200</SB>) of a sample obtained by pressing the toner in a pellet shape at the time of applying a pressure of 4.0×10<SP>3</SP>Pa at 120°C to the sample is 45-65% and a deformation (R<SB>500</SB>) of the sample at the time of applying a pressure of 1.0×10<SP>4</SP>Pa at 120°C to the sample is 65-85%.
