PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable sensitive material excellent in conveyability and photographic performances in image formation of the heat developable sensitive material, and to provide an image forming method for the heat developable sensitive material. SOLUTION: The heat developable sensitive material is obtained by disposing on a support an image forming layer containing a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder and a non-photosensitive layer, wherein the non-photosensitive layer contains one or more lubricants represented by the formula (E): (R1)p-(COO)q-(R2)r and having an AV value of≤1.0, an OHV value of≤3.0 and an IV value of≤3.0. In the image forming method, the heat developable sensitive material is heat-developed at 100-140°C in 18 s, or in the image forming method, the heat developable sensitive material is heat-developed under conveyance at a linear velocity of≥23 mm/s.
