PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repulsive portable hardness meter accurately measuring hardness regardless of measurement directions. SOLUTION: The repulsive portable hardness meter is provided with an outer cylinder (1) and an impact hammer (2) slidably disposed within the outer cylinder, and measures the hardness of the sample based on a relationship between an impact speed and a repulsive speed when the impact hammer hits a sample. A friction reducing process is applied to at least one of an inner face (1a) of the outer cylinder and a slide face (2a) of the impact hammer in contact with the inner face.
