PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sudden temperature rise in an appliance in a state that an air filter is clogged, and to prevent the start of a safety device by abnormal heating in starting the operation. SOLUTION: This fan-forced heater comprises a burner 1, a combustion chamber 2, an air fan 3 and a fan motor 4 for supplying the air taken from the external, a rotational frequency detecting unit 24 for detecting a rotational frequency of the fan motor 4, an air filter 8 mounted on an air intake port, a controller 13 for controlling a fuel supply amount and the rotational frequency to determine a burning capacity, a fan motor output detecting device 27 for detecting the output of the fan motor, a fan motor output storing device 28 for storing the output of the fan motor 4 at a specific timing, and a control means 20 for performing the operation by changing the rotational frequency of the fan motor to a specific rotational frequency, in a case when the output of the fan motor 4 is changed by a specific quantity from a stored value of the fan motor output storing device 28 in starting the operation.
