PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic image having a higher image resolution in a region of interest, which is arbitrarily changed, compared with other parts at real time while suppressing the increase in the number of focus data. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 1, when the region of interest is set, allows a control part 24 to compute the focus data for the region of interest for every one or a plurality of sampling points less than (n) (n: a natural number more than 2) in the region of interest, and a phasing addition part 16 performs the phasing in the sampling points in the region of interest using the focus data for the region of interest, so that the ultrasonic diagnostic image having higher image resolution of the region of interest, which is arbitrarily changed, compared with other parts can be displayed on the display part 22 at real time while suppressing the increase in the number of focus data.
