The apparatus includes a bench (8) at a disassembly station on which the appliance is positioned such that the screen side faces a push out device (1). This has a stamp (9) arranged on a portal (10) to be movable such that it can be positioned in a plane over the screen. The stamp can be driven in a direction perpendicular to the screen. The stamp pushes the screen backwards so far out of the housing (5) that the holders which hold it in place in the housing are destroyed and the front frame of the housing becomes free. A spreading device is provided which corresponds to the stamp. This engages in the now free front frame of the housing and spreads it so far apart that the screen can be removed from the housing by a vacuum or suction device.
