<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of putting the brakes on the illegal distribution of digital contents, easily detecting the illegal distribution of digital contents and simply finding out a distribution source that illegally distribute digital contents. <P>SOLUTION: A user uses a client terminal (201) to order one set of digital contents via a presentation server (206). The presentation server (206) requires the identification of the user to an identification server (207). A marking server (210) for embedding electronic watermark generates digital contents wherein the electronic watermark is embedded, using an algorithm with a private key, the electronic watermark being integrated with at least the civil identity acquired by the presentation server.
