<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a specimen preparation device and its method for performing highly accurate analysis, observation, recording, etc. by forming a cut surface and/or an incision while preventing deformation, destruction, change in quality, etc. of a specimen by a simple structure and operation. <P>SOLUTION: A part of the specimen 11 is embedded with a filler 13 in a specimen holding part 4 of a specimen holder 1 and fixed by a fixing member 5. A projection part 11b of the specimen 11 is held by a projection-part receiver part 7 of a receiving table 2. As soon as dry ice is stored in dry-ice storage parts 6a and 6b to instantaneously freeze the specimen 11, the specimen 11 is cut in a gas-phase replaced state with a cutter 22, thereby forming the cut surface 14 and/or the incision 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
