PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint assembly adapted to use in an automobile. SOLUTION: This ball joint assembly includes: a housing 12 demarcating a socket chamber 18 and having an opening 32; a compound ball joint bearing 20 disposed in the socket chamber; a ball stud 24 supported by the compound ball joint bearing and having a shank part 30 projected through the opening of the housing; and a sealing assembly 40 sealing an opening between the ball stud and the socket chamber. According to the invention, the compound ball joint bearing is formed of a second magnetostrictive alloy material 20B changed in shape when a first plastic material 20A and a magnetic field exist and changing the rotating and vibrating property of the ball joint assembly.
