摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an engine in a shorter time while eliminating the need for conformance retest even when an atomizing speed is changed which gives great influences on the amount of fuel atomized directly into a combustion chamber. SOLUTION: Assuming that the atomized fuel injected from a fuel injection valve 21 flies in an air stream in the combustion chamber 5 through an intake system in a blocked form ranging from the front end to the rear end, and considering that a range where the rate of the atomized block to the air steam in the combustion chamber, determined by a atomizing speed, a flying distance limit and a distance from the nozzle of the fuel injection valve to an intake port outlet, exceeds zero, is a section where the atomized block exists in the air stream in the combustion chamber 5, a model calculates the amount of the atomized fuel injected directly into the combustion chamber 5 out of the amount of the fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 21 in accordance with at least the rate of the atomized block to the air stream without colliding with an intake valve 15 or an intake port 4 during opening the intake valve 15.
