摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent magnetic deterioration and heighten surface density of a digital storage medium used for a data storage device. SOLUTION: The digital storage medium has two magnetic layers and respective easy axes of magnetic moments in the two layers are vertical to each other. Synthesized magnetic moment inclined from the flat face of the digital storage medium is generated by exchange coupling of the magnetic moments in the two magnetic layers and any of a ring head, a single pole head or a head inclined at an angle matched with writing operation can be used by the synthesized magnetic moment of the medium. Heat stability can be heightened by the inclination of the magnetic moment. Rapid magnetic transition is made possible by reduction of switching magnetic field of inclined transition and as a result, linear pit density of the medium is heightened.
