CALCULATION METHOD FOR EQUILIBRIUM ADSORPTION QUANTITY OF ADSORBING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the equilibrium adsorption quantity on an adsorbing material without requiring concentration adjustment of a molecular material to be adsorbed nor requiring after-treatment. SOLUTION: The material 8 to be adsorbed and the adsorbing material 7 are allowed to coexist in a sealed container 1, and the molecular material to be adsorbed from the material 8 to be adsorbed is put into the contact state with the adsorbing material 7. After the adsorption quantity on the adsorbing material 7 reaches equilibrium, the concentration of the molecular material to be adsorbed and the equilibrium adsorption quantity on the adsorbing material 7 in the sealed container 1 are measured. This work is performed at least twice or more by changing the quantity of the material 8. A correlation expression between the concentration of the molecular material to be adsorbed and the equilibrium adsorption quantity on the adsorbing material 7 is determined based on the acquired measured value. The equilibrium adsorption quantity on the adsorbing material 7 in the contact state with the molecular material to be adsorbed having a prescribed concentration is calculated based on the correlation expression.
