8-(3-amino-piperidin-1-yl)-xanthine derivatives (I) are new. 8-(3-amino-piperidin-1-yl)-xanthine derivatives of formula (I) and their tautomers, enantiomers, diastereomers (or mixtures), prodrugs and salts are new.
