<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording body, in which scumming is hard to develop and which strongly resists against mechanical abrasion by a method wherein the in-plane distribution of fine particles added to the recording body is clarified. <P>SOLUTION: This recording body has a recording layer 2 including a member having properties, in which its retreating contact angle (hereinafter referred simply as the contact angle) to a liquid lowers through heating/cooling under the condition that it contacts with the liquid lowers to a state being lyophilic (hereinafter referred to as the lyophilic state) to the liquid and, at the same time, the contact angle retrieves its original value through heating/cooling under the condition that it does not contact with the liquid as its lyophilic state is kept unchanged. The recording body includes fine particles 3 under the state, in which the fine particles contact with one another (hereinafter referred as the fine particle cluster) and the area of the fine particle cluster lies within the range of 2-4 times as much as the average particle area of the fine particles.
