PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism device for a photo interrupter wherein elasticity of an engaging pawl is secured by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This prism device for the photo interrupter is arranged on the opposite side to a detection device 20 comprising a light emitting part and a light receiving part relative to a conveyance route for conveying a detection object, and is used for reflecting light from the light emitting part of the detection device and applying the light to the light receiving part. The device includes a prism body 11 having the first inclined plane 11a and the second inclined plane 11b for reflecting the light from the light emitting part of the detection device and applying the light to the light receiving part, and a pair of flexural members 12, 13 formed integrally with the prism body, extending mutually approximately in parallel toward the opposite side only from both side edges in the longitudinal direction on the conveyance route side of the prism body, and equipped with engaging pawls 14, 15 for fixing, projecting toward the outside.
