PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless vacuum cleaner which accomplishes charging both through and non-through a housing base and is allowed to be housed independently in the housing base. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a body which has an electric blower chamber having an electric blower, a dust collection chamber communicating with the electric blower chamber in front thereof and a power source part for housing a battery disposed behind the electric blower chamber, a suction device which is connected to the body of the cleaner and extended forward from the dust collection chamber, the housing base which houses the vacuum cleaner standing vertically with the suction device therebelow and a charger for charging the battery. The body of the cleaner is provided with a first connection part connected to the charger and the housing base is provided with a second connection part connected to the charger, respectively.
