The vehicle front side structure has a longitudinal support (1) on the top with a lower vertical web (2) and a removable assembly (4) which is to be removed from the top and which is arranged at least in part in a space underneath a cross web (3). The area of the cross web above the assembly has a recess (5) which opens to the inside of the structure. The edge of the recess is reinforced in respect of the bearing capacity of the longitudinal support to compensate for the recess. The edge reinforcement of the recess is formed from the sheet metal material of the longitudinal support.
