<p>The invention relates to a tyre tread comprising a rubber composition which is based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing inorganic filler, such as silica, an elastomer/inorganic filler coupling agent, and a very small quantity of carbon black, at a rate of between 0.05 and 2 pce. After one such tread has been subjected to a photo-oxidation treatment, tyres comprising same have noticeably improved grip on wet roads. Preferably, the aforementioned photo-oxidation treatment, e.g. under visible UV radiation, can be performed during the production of the treads or tyres, in the green state, such as after curing, or later during the service life of said tyres.</p> |
