The invention relates to a novel method for selecting clones and recloning mammal cells that are used in the production of biopharmaceuticals, preferab ly hamster or mouse myeloma cells, with a high degree of automation and throughput. The invention also relates to methods for depositing and multiplying individual cell clones of the corresponding cells, to methods fo r producing proteins using cells that are obtained and multiplied by means of individual cell deposition, and to compositions that enable individual cells to be multiplied.
