<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging unit which enables the reading of pixels at a high frame rate by thinning them out and restraining false colors in the horizontal direction generated when the pixels are thinned out and read by averaging and outputting signals of horizontal three pixels of the same colors. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging unit has a pixel 1 equipped with color filters in a Bayer array, wherein a thinned-out pixel signal is read out in one frame and pixel signals of pixels in identical-color phases in color phase codings prescribed by the color filters as to the pixel signal are averaged and outputted by an averaging switch 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
