<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform the setting operation for items in response to a driving situation when specified items are selected and set from among a plurality of item candidates as an item setting work in a vehicular instrument. <P>SOLUTION: This information presenting device 10 for the vehicular instrument is constituted in such a manner that an item selecting section 11 for display information and an item selecting section 12 for sound information can be switched by an item selecting method switching section 13 as a means which select-controls items in response to the driving situation which is detected by a driving situation detecting section 19. In this case, the item selecting section 11 for display information selects specified items from item candidates which are presented as the display information. The item selecting section 12 for sound information selects specified items from item candidates which are presented as the sound information.
