<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the processing efficiency of processes up to determination of weight cycle values for specifying the optimal timing for a CPU to access each device. <P>SOLUTION: This controller for image forming apparatus comprises a CPU 101 with a group of weight controller registers 1011 in which the weight cycle values determining the timing for the CPU 101 to access each device are stored; and a CPU peripheral ASIC 104 having both a local bus control part 1041 that verifies both the weight cycle value characteristic of each device connected by a local bus 108 and the weight cycle values generated by the CPU peripheral ASIC 104 and a group of access weight registers 1042 for storing the weight cycle values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
