PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a developing means whose maintenance is improved by improving such a state that the ventilation port of a ventilation duct for a development suction is stopped up by scattering developer and by facilitating cleaning of the development suction, the ventilation duct and the ventilation port, etc. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the developing suction having the ventilation duct for collecting the developer scattering from the developing means, and a relay duct which makes it possible to detach the ventilation duct from the vicinity of the ventilation port continuing from the developing means is arranged in the developing suction.
