PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic one-component developing method in which toner flows smoothly between a plurality of developing rollers and excess toner retention in the vicinity of the gap between the developing rollers can be suppressed, and to provide a toner. SOLUTION: Development is carried out after a first developing roller having a magnetic pole A and a second developing roller having a magnetic pole B are disposed in positions where the crossed axes angle a between a reference line connecting the central axes of both the rollers and a line connecting the magnetic pole A and the central axis of the first developing roller, and the crossed axes angle b between a line connecting the magnetic pole B and the central axis of the second developing roller and the reference line satisfy a>0 and b≤0 or a≥0 and b<0 when the photoreceptor side of the reference line is considered to be positive and the opposite side to be negative. The toner is a magnetic one-component toner containing a binder resin and a magnetic material, having the product of coercive force (kA/m) and residual magnetization (Am2/kg) of 5-85 and a weight average particle diameter of 4-10μm, and including≤4% by volume of particles whose particle diameter is≥2 times the weight average particle diameter and≤35% by number of particles whose particle diameter is not greater than half of a length average particle diameter.
