PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal capable of realizing quick, perpetual and smooth hand-off in the case of roaming among data communication networks adopting a plurality of packet switching systems and to provide a control method thereof. SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal 100 is provided with: a network access unit (NAU) 101 including a network access mechanism uniquely set through adjustment of respective specifications of hardware, software and the protocol; and a MADU (Multiple Access Decision Unit) 103 for using one-set of interface and exchanging information with the NAU 101 to decide a channel used for a communication session and controlling the NAU 101 corresponding to the decided channel, and roams among the data communication networks adopting a plurality of the packet switching systems.
