发明名称 E-SHAPE RETAINING RING FOR GROOVED HOLLOW SHAFT
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify positioning in the thrust direction when fitting a part in a grooved hollow shaft. SOLUTION: This E-shape retaining ring 1 is installed in three grooves of the hollow shaft 11 formed with four grooves 12-15 in the axial direction thereof at positions for equally dividing the periphery thereof into four. Tip shape of a central projection 3 inside the retaining ring 1 is formed into a projecting shape having a curvature equal or a little larger to/than a cross sectional curvature of a bottom part of the groove 12 of the hollow shaft 11, and brought in contact with inside the bottom part of the groove 12 of the hollow shaft 11. Both side projections 4 and 5 are formed into a projecting shape, and brought in contact with outside of shoulder parts 13s and 15s on a side close to the central projection 3 of the grooves 13 and 15 provided in both sides of the groove 12 brought in contact with the the central projection 3. In the condition wherein the E-shape retaining ring 1 is installed in the hollow shaft 11, the hollow shaft 11 is pressure-pinched at three points of a tip abutment part of the central projection 3 and both abutment parts of both the side projections 4 and 5 to fix the retaining ring in the axial direction.
