PURPOSE: A radio tuning information backup method is provided to simplify a structure and enhance efficiency in storing new radio tuning information by storing separately information needed in controlling a VCR operation and information needed in controlling a radio set operation by using only one non-volatile memory. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A combined device is powered on and a booting operation is finished(S10). The first microcomputer monitors a key signal inputted by a user, for example, for selecting a unique function of a VCR like regenerating or recording data(S11). Then, the combined device performs a corresponding operation selected by the user by referring to VCR control information recorded at the first memory(S13). In a case that the user selects a unique function of a radio set, for example, for tuning or receiving a radio broadcasting(S14), the first microcomputer searches for radio control information recorded at the first memory(S15), sends the searched information to the second microcomputer, i.e. the microcomputer for the radio set, and allows the radio set to tune or receive the radio broadcasting selected by the user via interfacing with the second microcomputer(S16).
