<p>A security cover (10) with releasable lock includes a rearwardly opening ste el box (30) secured over the ears (22,24) of a hasp assembly (14) on a cargo container (15), with the hasp ears (22,24) positioned within the box (30). A n operable lock (58) is mounted on the box, for selectively securing the hasp ears (22,24) by the selective positioning of a pin (68) through the ears (22,24) of the hasp within the box. In the preferred embodiment, the lock is a plunger type lock (58) with a plug (66) connected to the pin (68) and operab le to selectively slide the pin (68) into journaled engagement with the hasp ea rs (22,24).</p> |
