<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid operated pump having effectively reduced size and thickness, long life, stability in use and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The solenoid operated pump comprises a cylinder closed at both end faces with a pair of frame bodies 20a, 20b, a needle 10 provided therein slidably between the end faces of the frame bodies as pump chambers 30a, 30b, and air-core electromagnetic coils 50a, 50b arranged on the outer periphery of the cylinder. The needle 10 is reciprocated in the axial direction of the cylinder by carrying a current in the electromagnetic coils when transporting fluid.
