FIBER STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber structure increasing and stably generating negative ions in the fiber structure composed of cellulosic fibers and synthetic fibers and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The fiber structure is composed of the cellulosic fibers and the synthetic fibers. The fiber structure is characterized in that a cationic surfactant is present in the synthetic fibers. The method for producing the fiber structure is characterized as follows. The cationic surfactant is applied to the fiber structure composed of the cellulosic fibers and the synthetic fibers by a treatment in a bath heated to 50-100°C and the fiber structure is then washed with cold water at a lower temperature than that of the treatment in the bath by≥20°C to make the cationic surfactant remain in an amount of 0.01-5 wt.% based on the fiber weight.
