PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an a display device for an automobile capable of grasping space capacity that can be filled in a fuel tank in advance, and preventing overflowing. SOLUTION: The display device for the automobile comprises the fuel tank 11 communicating to a refueling pipe 15 having a refueling port 16 in a fuel filling port part 13 provided on a vehicular body side surface of the automobile, a sensor 19 provided in the fuel tank 11 and detecting upper space capacity above a liquid surface of a fuel oil, a control device 20 receiving a signal sent from the sensor 19 and carrying out convert processing to the space capacity that can be filled with the fuel oil, and a space amount display 22 indicating the space capacity that can be filled under controlling of the control device 20.
