PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which the horizontal tailing of boundary parts during display of a black window, black line, etc., is eliminated in a dot line inversion system. SOLUTION: The display device 10 has a pixel section 11 which is constituted by arranging pixel circuits PXLC in a matrix form, wiring signal lines 15-1 to 15-n by each of respective pixel strings and wiring gate lines, one unit of which consists of two lines apart by an odd number line between at least the adjacent pixel strings and for which the dot line inversion drive system to transmit video signals of different polarities to the respective signal lines is employed. The display device has a horizontal driving circuit 13 which divides a plurality of the signal lines to a plurality of units UNT, simultaneously samples the plurality of the video signals varying in the polarities by each of the respective divided units and transmits the signals to the corresponding signal lines. The pixel section 11 is connected to the two pixel circuits included in the respective divided units arrayed with the gate lines 16-1 to 16-m in the same rows in the boundary parts between the divided units.
