PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower leaf-treating apparatus for scraping off the lower leaves of leaf vegetables, or the like, with the blades of waterwheel-like rotators, in which the blades can simply be attached or detached. SOLUTION: This lower leaf-treating apparatus is equipped with the waterwheel-like rotators attached to a pair of rotation shafts 11, 21 set in parallel at a prescribed distance. The lower leaves of the leaf vegetables, or the like, to be treated are scraped off with the blades 13, 23 of the waterwheel-like rotators 12, 22. Cylindrical members 14, 24 whose centers have square cross sections are coaxially attached to the rotation shafts 11, 21, respectively. The blades 13, 23 are rectangular sponge plate members, respectively, and the base end portions of the blades 13, 23 are detachably attached to the surfaces of the central portions of the rotation shafts 11, 21 with screws 16, 26 through presser plates 15, 25, respectively.
