A method for artificially ageing of stone products, e.g. concrete, ceramic and natural stone, has the stones/ blocks held onto a vibrating table by clamping means (8) and subjected to impact processing by inertial tools. This chips the outer surface and the edges of the stone to produce a worn effect. The stones products are held aligned during the processing and are easily removed and stored/packed after processing. The clamping means can be mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic/vacuum or magnetic and includes a retaining frame.
