A laboratory furnace comprises adjustable gas burners, multiple holders for crucibles and molds, at least one gas burner unit with a 20-100 mbar regulated gas supply, and an adjustable, tilting frame for the crucible holders. Optionally a container with a magnetic stirrer may be provided for liquid dissolution of the crucible contents. Crucibles and molds are secured into the tilting frame to prevent accidental upsetting. Temperatures and sample transfers are controlled by a microprocessor.
