METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM FOR DETECTING ELECTRIC WIRE ABNORMALITY BY IMAGE PROCESSING, AND METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE FOR ELECTRIC WIRE INSPECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor of a worker and perform high-speed processing in electric wire abnormality inspection.

SOLUTION: Edge pixels 40 constituting the actual contour of the electric wire are detected for a target image on which the electric wire is photographed, and a pixel group excluding low reliable pixels having no satisfaction to a prescribed reference from the edge pixels 40 are approximated by a straight line to obtain an ideal contour 42 when the electric wire is sound. When the edge pixels 40 apart from the ideal contour 42 by a predetermined distance in the vertical direction continue in the horizontal direction a prescribed number of times, it is judged the electric wire abnormality possibly occurs.
