<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rose fragrance ingredient biosynthesis enzyme which can solve problems, such as atmosphere pollution and high production cost, accompanying conventional chemical synthesis methods, and to provide a method for producing the rose fragrance ingredient with the enzyme. <P>SOLUTION: This biosynthesis enzyme having an activity for bio-synthesizing 3,5-dihydroxyanisole (DHA), an intermediate of a rose fragrance ingredient: 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene (TMB), by the action of the enzyme on the precursor: phloroglucionol, of TMB. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
