<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a content information management method for reducing a processing load in a content providing server for performing encryption processing to which a network key to be updated as needed is applied. <P>SOLUTION: The contents providing server connected to a home network, etc., stores an encryption contents key shared by network connected devices and encrypted by a network key to be updated as needed together with encrypted contents into a storing part, and holds a network key table in which all network keys including all unupdated network keys currently applied as an encryption contents key are registered and stored. Key replacement processing of converting an encryption contents key encrypted by an unupdated network key to an encryption key to which an updated network key is applied is carried out.
