<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for succeeding server functions that, in order to avoid system down in case of failure of a server, lets the functions of a failed host be quickly succeeded by another server. <P>SOLUTION: In a network environment where an Internet data center 100, a system manager 110, and a general user 120 are connected to one another via the Internet 130, the method executes a program starting process for starting a program for letting each server perform its functions; a server load information acquisition process for letting each server acquire its own load information; a failed server detection process for detecting any failed server; a succeeding server detection process for detecting a server that can succeed the functions of the failed server; and a server function succeeding process for letting the server detected through the succeeding server detection process succeed the functions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
