PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pressure shock absorber capable of restricting increase of spring force generated by gas as actuation medium to be especially usable as a vehicle suspension. SOLUTION: In the middle of a bypass passage B communicating a first chamber R1 with a second chamber R2 that are parted from each other by a partition member 1, a valve V of a normally closed type is provided to open/close the bypass passage B.
