PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tailgate device capable of securing the head clearance over an occupant's head and receiving loads effectively. SOLUTION: One end of a rod 52 is coupled with a straight motion rack 44 while one end of a curved arm 54 is coupled with the other end of the rod 52, and the other end of the curved arm 54 is coupled with a tailgate 15, and the arm 54 is furnished with an arm side slider part 60 curving concentrically with the arm 54, and a plurality of load receiving parts 87-90 to receive the load while they are in slide contacting with the arm side slider part 60 are formed on the body side at a certain spacing in the moving direction of the arm 54.
