The compounds of the examples are galactofuranosyl and arabinofuranosyl compounds wherein the variable A is oxygen. Methods for the synthesis of compounds of general formula (I), pharmaceutical compositions them and methods of using them to treat patients suffering a microbial infection are also disclosed.</p> |
