摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly transmit engine driving force to wheel driving shafts, while preventing the generation of vehicle shock, when re-starting an engine after stopping idling operation, in regards to a hybrid vehicle wherein the engine drives one of the wheel driving shafts and a motor drives the other of the wheel driving shafts. <P>SOLUTION: This hybrid vehicle is provided with an engine driving force transmitting means having a clutch mechanism for connecting/releasing an engine driving force transmitting route from the engine to the wheel driving shafts. When an engine re-starting condition (idle-stop canceling condition) is satisfied, a starter motor is driven to automatically re-start the engine, and immediately after such a re-start, the clutch mechanism is held released, and the vehicle runs with the driving force of the motor. After an over-chute (a part) of the engine characteristic (engine speed) passes after re-starting the engine, the clutch mechanism is connected to transmit the engine driving force to the wheel driving shafts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
