<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load driving device, wherein degradation in the performance of a command mode capacitor can be suppressed, even if leakage current is increased on the load side. <P>SOLUTION: A common mode capacitor 27 is connected between a negative bus 2 and a ground node GND. A leak detector 70 detects any electrical leakage in an inverter 20 and the alternating-current portion of an alternating-current motor M1, and outputs a signal DEL which indicates the level of the electrical leakage to a controller 30. The controller 30 determines whether the level of the electrical leakage indicated by the signal DEL is higher than a reference value. If the level of the electrical leakage is higher than the reference value, the controller 30 generates a signal PWMI or a signal PWMC with an increased carrier frequency to control the inverter 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
