<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article retrieving system to specify the arrangement location of a corresponding article only by inputting article information associated with a desired article. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving an article retrieval request, a retrieving device 101 transmits the received article information through a network 102 to an article database 103, and the article database retrieves the radio tag number of a corresponding article 106 based on the received article information, and transmits the acquired radio tag number through a communication network to the retrieving device.
