LUBRICANT FOR FLUID BEARING AND SPINDLE MOTOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant for fluid bearing that hardly causes corrosive wear of bearing metal, controls deterioration of a lubricant by the catalytic action of a metal and has low environmental loading. SOLUTION: The lubricant 8 to be packed in a space between a shaft 2 and a sleeve 4 uses an ester-based compound as a base oil, contains no phosphorus-based compound as an additive and is mixed with an alkylimidazole so that does not cause corrosive wear of fluid bearing due to no use of a phosphorus-based compound and has low environmental loading. Including an alkylimidazole actualizes a fluid bearing controlling deterioration of a lubricant by a metal and having high reliability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
