The sealing system has elastic water-diverting profiled seals (A) fixed on the folding roof or hardtop whereby the folding roof (2) can be placed from a position underneath the roll-over bar (3) from below sealingly against the counter profile of the bar. The area of the elastic seal in the profile-free area of the bar has a water channel opening out at the side ends. In the adjoining regions of the side bars (11) with the underneath of the roll-over bar the elastic profiled sealing means are divided up into a channel- shaped upwardly open profiled seal fixed in the bar and into a tubular interacting profiled seal which can be fixed e.g. on the side bars or hardtop. When the closure element is closed the channel-like profiled seals adjoin the side water drains to take up the water.
