The method involves waiving reservations at resources units, and has a central memory (FR) for the resource units which are stored information about a pre-determined resources sum (RSC) and over a reservation sum (RES). The reservation sum describes a portion of the resources sum, already reserved, and the memory stores a reservation END data record (TALK). A reservation end-time (REZ) describes reservations which have become invalid, where the procedure is examined sequentially. The reservation end-time (REZ) is exceeded and is waived in the case of an excess resources sum when the reservation sum is set to zero. An examination is made for the validity period data (GDA) with the reservation END data record and compared. The end of the validity period lies temporally later than the reservation end-time. If this applies, the reservation END data record is changed, until the reservation end-time agrees with the terminator point of the validity period. If this does not apply, then the reservation END data record is not changed.
