HEATER OF AN AIR CONDITIONER FOR INCREASING AN EFFECTIVE HEAT EXCHANGING AREA IN COMPARISON TO THE TOTAL AREA BY REMOVING A HEADER OR A TANK

PURPOSE: A heater of an air conditioner is provided to widen an effective heat exchanging area by eliminating a header or a tank and to increase coolant circulation efficiency by reducing coolant flow resistance. CONSTITUTION: Plural coolant tubes(2) are formed by confronting two plates(20) having inlet and discharge units(20a,20b) at both ends. The coolant tubes and plural radiating fins(5) are layered alternately. Inlet and discharge chambers(IC,OC) are formed at upper and lower parts and connected to each other through a heat exchanging passage(E) in each coolant tube. An inlet pipe(1) connected to the inlet chamber is joined to an inlet side of an end plate(6) disposed at one outermost side. A side plate(3) forming a discharge passage(O) connected to the discharge chamber is joined to a lateral side of the end plate arranged at the other outermost side. A discharge pipe(4) linked with the discharge chamber through the discharge passage is combined to an upper part of the side plate.
