PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for opening inlet seal box of annealing furnace, the apparatus for directly performing a fracture recovery operation with skipping of am exchange operation of an atmospheric gas inside muffle when strip is fractured in a bright annealing furnace to reduce maintenance time taken in the fracture recovery operation and minimize productivity deterioration due to line stoppage time. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for opening inlet seal box of annealing furnace comprises a plurality of blocking plates(10,11,12) which are sequentially installed in an upper part of the inlet seal box(130) of a bright annealing furnace with being spaced from one another in a certain distance so that strip(150) proceeds through a slit on the center of the blocking plates; seal pads(20) positioned both surfaces of the strip in a lower part of an upper blocking plate in the blocking plates and closely adhered to both surfaces of the strip; a driving cylinder(21) slantly installed toward the slit of the upper blocking plate inside the seal box and connected to the bottom of the seal pads; seal rolls(30) positioned under the respective blocking plates positioned under the upper blocking plate such that the seal rolls are closely adhered to the respective blocking plates and both surfaces of the strip; a driving means for selectively closely adhering the seal rolls to the strip; and a removal means closely adhered to the seal rolls to increase adhesion force of the seal rolls by wiping the surface of the seal rolls, wherein the driving means comprises an operation cylinder(32), a rack bar and a pinion gear, and wherein the removal means comprises a pressing member, an operation rod, an elastic spring and a pad.
